Taking time for you..

Sat Nam,

The world moves so fast these days.  We have information at our fingertips, we can order most things to arrive at our door from an hour to a couple of days, worldwide news is known within minutes and we are always connected via our phones, watches, iPads and computers.

It’s a lot.

Which is why it’s so important to turn off and take time for you.

In this day and age we have lost the ability to delay gratification, a skill that taught us to be grateful and appreciate what we have.

We have lost the art of critical thinking because information is fed to as a light speed and sits readily at our fingertips. Instead of discerning what is misinformation and what’s true, through the bombardment of information we have become lazy and take what we’re fed at face value.

This is why it’s so important to switch off and take time for you. When I walk in the morning it frees my mind to process all the thoughts in my head and free them from the spin.

Sitting watching the sunrise, the light dancing on the sea, listening to the birds sing and watching the swimmers do laps, slows my mind down and allows me to see the wood from the trees.

My mat is also where I allow my mind to take a rest and through the Kriyas, let my energy channels move through all the heaviness I may have accumulated.

Take time out, turn off your phone, walk in nature, sit on your mat, whatever it is you do to quieten your mind do it for at least an hour a day. Think of it as your daily meditation where you allow your mind to process, slow down and rest.  Your nervous system will thank you and your heart will thank you. It will also allow you open your Third Eye connecting you to your intuition and open your Crown Chakra connecting you to the universal flow.  How good is that!
