Back from Bali and ready to yoga!

Sat Nam,

It’s been a few weeks, but I’m back from my relaxing break, some of which I spent in Bali.

Bali was beautiful and warm.  I practiced yoga on my balcony in the morning light and it was so special with all the beautiful sounds and sights of the Bali jungle.

What really struck me about Bali, was the flow in the chaos.  When in Ubud the traffic was heavy, yet the drivers stayed patient and respectful, they didn’t resist the traffic, they surrendered to the chaos and in the moment of chaos, there was a constant flow.

I had an epiphany that this is what consciousness is.  We live life in chaos from moment to moment, as life is unpredictable, but if we let go of the resistance, the need to control and surrender to the chaos, life takes on an underlying flow. It also allows us to be present in the moment, otherwise if we’re constantly in resistance, we miss all the wonderful that life has to offer.

It took us a while but we got to our destination as we always do in the end, learning that the secret to peace in the chaos is just a matter of letting go of what we can’t control and allowing for what is.

Kundalini Yoga is a great training ground for this.  There are thousands of Kriyas so you don’t know what you’re going to get in class. You just have to turn up, let go of the resistance and allow. That’s where the magic happens. ✨
