The Navel

I am back from my holiday and pumped which is great because this week we are working on our powerhouse of Kundalini energy, The Navel.
The Navel is where our Kundalini energy begins to then move its way down to the Root Chakra and then up the spine to ignite all other Chakras.
It is the colour yellow and represented by the mountain goat as it provides endurance, commitment and motivation. If you’ve ever seen a mountain goat climb a mountain you’ll know what I mean. 😃
It is your powerhouse and when in balance and able to flow freely, it elevates your energy up through the higher centres connecting you into all. It also powers you to move forward in your every day life with vitality.
When out of balance it may become blocked in the lower triangle and either cause fatigue and lack of luster for life or anger that if left to grow, can present itself as vitriol hate and violence.
This is an important one to keep in flow, otherwise rather than energising you the primitive emotions such as anger, hate, justification etc it invokes when blocked will eventually burn you out and cause you dis-ease which may turn into disease within your body.
Navel work such as double leg lifts, alternate leg lifts, stretch pose and any posture where you work the navel is great for balancing this Chakra. Breath of Fire is an effective breath to activate and clear and any meditation where you pump the navel such as Sat Kriya is also great for activating and elevating the Kundalini energy.
The more you work your Navel the stronger it becomes and the greater your zest for life.
