Courage and Monthly Stress and Vitality Workshop at Botannix!

Sat Nam,

“Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can’t practice any other virtue consistently.”

Maya Angelou

I’ve always loved this saying by Maya Angelou because I know courage.

A lot of people I’ve spoken to believe courage is having no fear, but as someone who has lived with huge amounts of fear I know it’s the opposite. Its having fear but still showing up.

Courage walks with you when you step out of your comfort zone and holds your hand.

It helps you follow your heart, speak your truth, be vulnerable, let go of control, have patience, be authentic and honest, feel all the feels and love deeply.

It is there with you to

⭐️attend a job interview

⭐️present to your team

⭐️ask for a promotion

⭐️ask for a pay rise

⭐️jump of a bridge

⭐️run a marathon

⭐️ask that person out

⭐️fall in love

⭐️bring a new baby into the world

⭐️walk to the beat of your own drum

Sometimes courage is just getting out of bed in the morning and putting one foot in front of the other.  It is always with you, ready to support you through the big and small experiences life brings if you let it.

Kundalini Yoga taught me courage.  It is a yoga that will take you out of your comfort zone and within yourself and that can be confronting.

It will challenge you physically and mentally as it teaches you what your capacity and capability truely is.

It will challenge your ego and when your ego is challenged it will fight because your ego loves being in control.  But it will also set you free as it teaches you to have the courage to just be you and there’s nothing better than that

For me courage is the most important virtue because I’ve lived through fear and I know how debilitating it can be.  With courage I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone, I work on sustaining the other virtues daily and I’ve grown into the person I am today and that’s someone I’m proud to be.
