Spring has Sprung, rejuvenating in nature and my new Monday morning class

Sat Nam,

Well spring has finally sprung and the first day shone!   Can you feel the shift in energy?  It’s a time to blossom!  I for one am cheering that I’ll soon be able to put the winter woolies away and get my cosi out.?

I love Spring so much!  It’s a time of awakening as animals come out of hibernation, leaves start to grow back on trees, flowers start to blossom and we humans get a bounce in our step as we head outside, become more active and feel more energised.

I spent the first day of Spring at Govinda Valley on Yogi Maya’s retreat.  I left Sydney feeling worn out, my giving bucket was hitting the near empty indicator and my soul was crying out for clean air and peace and quiet.  As soon as the train wound its way out of the city and into the bush I could feel my breath deepen and my body relax.  I’ve always felt the Australian Bush has such strong life force energy that immediately gives me a lift.  Just a few hours in nature, sitting by a  stream watching the deer and I felt rejuvenated.

Now that Spring has arrived and the days will become longer and warmer take the time to get out of the city and sit with nature.  The city is jam packed with people, hustle and bustle, millions of thought signals, phone signals, electricity, smog and all that frantic energy can become overwhelming and depleting after too long.  I feel the best medicine for me to reboot is allowing the quiet flow of nature to connect me back to my source.

So next time you’re  running on empty try taking some time out to be with Nature.  If you can’t get out of the city, find a quiet spot in the park or at the beach, take your shoes off, walk barefoot, lie on the grass, go for a swim in the ocean, whatever floats your boat, just allow nature to bring you back to you.

To celebrate the arrival of Spring I will be starting my new Monday 9.30am class this week where I’ll be doing a special meditation to bring in the Spring magic of new beginnings! ?
