The Physical Body
Sat Nam,
This week we embark on the 5th of our bodies in our ten body series, the physical body.
The physical body is not only the vehicle that carries your soul through life, it is your best teacher about change and what’s going on within you and around you.
For example, aches, heaviness, stiffness, dis-ease etc tells you where your energy isn’t flowing and the area/s that needs your focus. Your physical body will react to situations that arise giving you an indication of what’s to come though hairs on your neck, goosebumps, butterflies in your tummy etc. It retracts when it feels danger and expands when it feels joy.
Your physical body will also tell you if what you are digesting is working for you or not. This is not just food, it’s what you absorb from social media, tv, the company you keep, how much work/life balance you have. Being aware of how your body reacts to what you digest will help you avoid what’s not good for you and do more of what is.
Think of your body as your vehicle for life. We service our cars regularly so they run smoothly and it’s just as important to service your physical body. I like to think of Kundalini Yoga and my time on the mat as servicing my physical body. This yoga allows me to become more aware of my body and what needs adjusting so it runs at its optimum.
To navigate life to serve you best, is to have a strong relationship with your physical body.
