The Two Truths and Yogi Maya’s Spring Equinox Workshop!

Sat Nam,

I can’t get enough of this beautiful Spring weather and the official start of Spring, Equinox is next weekend.  More about that in a moment.

First I’d like to talk about the two truths.  So what do I mean about two truths?  We were asked a question by our teacher what is truth?  It took me a while to feel into that one and what I realised is there is two truths, our own individual personal truth which comes from our human experience and what we digest and the universal truth which is in all our hearts and is based on love, compassion, forgiveness, and gratitude.

The human truth can differ in every person, what is true for me may not be true for you.  It can also cause divide and disagreement as it is not the same for each person.  The universal truth however, is something all our hearts know, it is based on love and connecting every living being on this planet to each other.  So why if all our hearts know this truth, are we not all living in the truth of love, compassion, etc?

As humans throughout our lives we form our human truths from our experience and what information we digest.  Through our time here on this planet, we suffer, it’s part of the growth cycle and in that suffering primitive emotions such as anger, fear, jealousy, judgment etc can arise.  These are heavy energies and if we allow these emotions to live in our bodies they form an armour around our hearts which we use as a form of protection from more suffering but this also blocks the light and universal truth of our hearts which ultimately causes more suffering.  It’s a vicious cycle.

Ever wonder why someone who is not affected in the slightest by a certain situation will get so angry and vitriol about it?  It’s because the heavy energy of anger or fear from previous experiences that have nothing to do with what they are angry about now, is surrounding their heart like a dark cloud stopping them from feeling the universal truth of love.

This is why I believe Kundalini yogi is so amazing as it works quickly to identify and clear heavy energy such as anger and fear from the body so you can feel and shine your light and with it the universal truth of love which connects us all.

It’s powerful stuff and so needed in this time of unrest as we move into the Aquarian Age.

Next time you’re feeling angry try three minutes of Sitali breath also known as the cooling breath that cools the body and also cools down anger.  The Kriya for Inner Anger is also a great one to move through the heavy energy of anger that you may have been carrying in your body for a while.

We are all connected and I believe the secret to global peace lies in connecting to our universal truth.
