The Positive Mind, Summer Activation Workshop and Radiant Body Retreat

This week we’re working on the third body, the Positive Mind.
One of my favourite movies that I feel epitomises the Positive Mind is Yes Man with Jim Carey. He plays a character who is deeply embedded in his Negative Mind and pretty much says ‘no’ to everything.
He goes to this seminar where the self help guy tells him he has to say yes to absolutely everything for a period of time. It leads him on all sorts of adventures and he gets to experience some amazing new things, but because his Negative Mind is no longer allowed to be active he also lands himself in a whole lot of hot water.
It’s a great movie to highlight both the good affects of the positive mind and the not so good when unbalanced.
The Positive Mind when balanced is like a cheerleader, getting excited and cheering you on to experience all the possibilities life has to offer.
When unbalanced it either has no boundaries and can push you into saying yes to things that can ultimately cause you grief, or on the opposite end of the spectrum it allows the Negative Mind to completely take over and you don’t take any chances at all.
This week, take time to stop and listen to your self talk and see how the positive mind works for you. Is it cheering you on and encouraging you, or is it drowned out by the Negative Mind always raining on your parade.
A great meditation for the positive mind is to sit in easy pose with your hands cupped in front of your heart, looking into your hands and think of a debilitating thought you would like to eliminate. Inhale through your nose and exhale through a puckered shaped mouth like your spitting out the thought.
Practice this for a week and see how it affects your Positive Mind.
