Daring Greatly!

Sat Nam,

?Happy full moon in Scorpio.  Can you feel the intensity!  This moon is all about feeling, so on that note I want to talk about vulnerability.

❤️I watched Brené Brown on Netflix last night in her doco A ‘Call to Courage’.  If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend it.

It’s all about having the courage to be vulnerable because as she says vulnerability is the foundation of connection.?

People are so scared to be vulnerable because let’s face it, being vulnerable can really hurt.  Brené says that to be vulnerable is to show up without having any control of the outcome and as humans who have been hardwired to maintain control that is bloody frightening.

This world is so constipated with fear.  Fear to lose control, fear to feel, fear to fail, fear to be judged, fear to be compassionate, fear to be hurt, fear to love.?

But here’s the thing, staying safe and protected with that thick coat of armour on may protect you from feeling grief, pain, failure, disappointment, other people’s pain, but it also blocks you from feeling joy, love and connection.

I love with all my heart no holds barred knowing that it can be taken away and it will hurt like hell when it does, and it has been taken away and the grief is excruciating.  I have never regretted loving fiercely and wholly because the love, joy and connection that has brought me is priceless.❤️❤️❤️

I step out of my comfort zone sometimes shaking with fear to be seen and heard and I’ve had wins and I have failed, and although the failure can feel so bitterly disappointing, humiliating and deflating I have never regretted showing up because I’ve learnt and grown from the failures, I’ve learnt how to pick myself up and keep going, I’ve been proud of myself and the wins have brought such fulfilment.???

Brené Brown says you cannot have comfort with vulnerability and she’s right.  To be vulnerable means letting go of comfort, stepping into the unknown and trusting.

?‍♀️Kundalini Yoga has taught me how to be vulnerable.

❤️It took so much courage for me to commit to my mat and face myself and my demons and at times the crap that came up was so painful but I stuck it out because I was committed to myself and my growth.

It taught me that I have no control of the outcome as once I commit to my mat I have no guarantee of what will come up, but I trusted it was what I needed to heal and grow.

It taught me how to feel, have compassion for myself and others and love.

Most importantly it taught me how to take my coat of armour off so although I am no longer ‘protected’ I now love, connect, have compassion,  feel and shine and that’s so worth the failure, grief and pain that I will guaranteed have along my way.

This earth is in crisis constipated in fear and it’s no time to be pussy footing around❗️

Every single one of you who have  the courage to take your armour off and be vulnerable, feel, love, experience grief, pain, be compassionate, be seen, be heard and feel joy allows yourself to shine and in turn gives permission for others to do the same.

This is how we will save ourselves and our planet.❤️

The more armour that is discarded the less constipated this planet will be, the more free, loving and joyful we will feel and the brighter the light of this planet as a collective will shine. ⭐️

?So if you are ready to take off your armour and be seen, feel and experience everything life has to offer PM me or book some time at  https://adettekagan.youcanbook.me/ and let’s have a heart to heart about you.
