40 days of Wholesomeness, heart and lungs, and last week of early bird for Byron Retreat

Sat Nam,

This week in our series 40 Days of Wholesomeness we begin working on the heart and lungs.

This last week has been a real test on my heart and lungs. I went through quite a traumatic health scare with my mum coupled with some emotional experiences of my own and boy did my beautiful heart take a beating.  What I noticed after all the hits it received was how well it kept beating and loving me just the same. I also noticed how the emotional toll on my heart affected my breathing.  At the height of trauma my breath became short and shallow as I felt the full weight of fear and panic take over.  As soon as I became aware of this I closed my eyes went within and began to take long slow deep breaths deep into my heart centre and I noticed how almost immediately my body started to calm and the weight of fear lift.

The heart is the epicentre of it all because this is where love resides and without love we are just empty shells.  All our chakras and energy points must be fed with love from the heart in order to shine bright and sustain their life force and our divine breath is what sustains our heart.

Fear and primitive emotions such as anger block our heart from connecting and cause pain and stress that can have an adverse affect not only on our energy but also on our physical health.

When my father was in his late 70s he was in hospital for the fourth open heart surgery he would have in his lifetime.  My father hadn’t cried in over 50 years since World War 2.  After the war when he could finally make it back to his town in Europe, he had found out both his parents and most people he had known had been murdered.  After his surgery he started to cry and he cried for a week, letting out all the grief of his loss and past pain that he had locked away inside because it was just to painful to feel.  As his heart which had literally been opened in surgery stayed open, he changed overnight from a man who was closed, distant and self destructive to a loving caring person who became affectionate, present and devoted to his family.  Such is the power of the heart..

Pent up grief, fear and primitive emotions such as anger block our heart from connecting and cause pain and stress that can have an adverse affect not only on our energy but also on our physical health.

The power of the heart is more powerful than any ego based emotion because it is the energy of love and as the old saying goes, love conquers all.

I’m so looking forward to our beautiful Byron Retreat, The Power of ‘I am’ with myself, Yogi Maya and Lisa Sampson are holding in the magnificent space of Temple Byron in Byron Bay.  If you have never been to Temple Byron, this place is something to be experienced!  The grounds are covered in crystals, Buddha’s and fauna and the vibration of energy permeating from here is just sublime!  A perfect setting to work on discovering the true essence of our being.

We will be working on the Power of each of our ‘I ams’ individually and collectively as a group using the transformative technology of Kundalini Yoga and meditation.  We will also share some fun activities to help us explore our Sat Nam (our truth) and help us realise our unique gifts.

As teachers we all offer our own unique gifts and insights to share with you on the journey of discovering your ‘I ams’ and the fact that this retreat will fall on 11.11 a gateway for transformation makes what we we will create as a group even more powerful!

The retreat is non residential and we are happy to help make suggestions for accommodation near Temple Byron which is a ten minute drive from the centre of town.  We will be providing dinner on the Saturday night at one of Byron’s favourite restaurants.
