Week two of 40 Days of Wholesomeness – The Kidneys, and Byron Retreat

Sat Nam,

Happy long weekend!

This week we start our second week of 40 Days of Wholesomeness as we embark on exploring the kidneys.

On a physical level the kidneys filter toxins and excess water from the body and produce urine.

On an energetic level they are closely associated with our Sacral Chakra where our sexual energy and energy for creativity is stored.  They are also the organ that stores our fear including fear associated with past trauma and phobias.

When balanced fear is important as it’s a protective force that can warn us about real danger.  Fear when unbalanced is one of the most debilitating emotions that literally stops us from living.  If it takes on a life of it’s own, it can override all logic creating a hysteria so frightening that the only way to feel safe is to cage ourselves in.  When I was at the height of my suffering from anxiety and panic attacks the simple task of getting on a bus or train terrified me so much that I often missed out on life events that required me to travel.

Fear is born in the mind and the ego and the beauty of Kundalini Yoga is that it not only works deeply on a physical and energetic level flushing out fear, it also connects us to our hearts where pure love resides and wherever love resides, there’s no room for fear.

I’m so looking forward to our beautiful Byron Retreat, The Power of ‘I am’ with myself, Yogi Maya and Lisa Sampson are holding in the magnificent space of Temple Byron in Byron Bay.  If you have never been to Temple Byron, this place is something to be experienced!  The grounds are covered in crystals, Buddha’s and fauna and the vibration of energy permeating from here is just sublime!  A perfect setting to work on discovering the true essence of our being.

We will be working on the Power of each of our ‘I ams’ individually and collectively as a group using the transformative technology of Kundalini Yoga and meditation.  We will also share some fun activities to help us explore our Sat Nam (our truth) and help us realise our unique gifts.

As teachers we all offer our own unique gifts and insights to share with you on the journey of discovering your ‘I ams’ and the fact that this retreat will fall on 11.11 a gateway for transformation makes what we we will create as a group even more powerful!

The retreat is non residential and we are happy to help make suggestions for accommodation near Temple Byron which is a ten minute drive from the centre of town.  We will be providing dinner on the Saturday night at one of Byron’s favourite restaurants.
