This week as we continue on our journey through the Chakras, we arrive at the Seventh Chakra in our series, the Crown Chakra or the Tenth Gate.

“The Crown Chakra is the 7th Chakra in the system. It is otherwise known as the “Tenth Gate” and by it’s Sanskirt name, Sahasrara, which means thousand petalled lotus. The Sahasrara is located at the top of the head and is associated with the pineal gland, which is said to be the seat of the soul.

The lower six chakras are yours to function on earth, but the Sahasrara Chakra is the connection to the source. It is our link to the universal & infinite consciousness, or God. God never separated from us. With our connection to The Source comes our belief systems, belief in a higher power, self knowledge, transcendence and universal understanding. When the Sahasrara is balanced we seek out deep questions, integrate spiritual teachings, have an open mind and transcend the ego.” Nihal Singh

Last Friday we experienced a new moon partial solar eclipse in Cancer that marks the beginning of the lead up to the potent emotionally charged full blood moon/total lunar eclipse in Aquarius that we will experience in the early hours of Saturday, 28 July. This is the longest lunar eclipse this century lasting around an hour and 40 minutes.  Myself and Yogi Maya will be teaching a powerful full moon workshop on Friday, 27 July to harness this transformative energy. More on that next week.
