Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year, the one day of the year…
Farewell summer for now and welcome autumn
Sat Nam,
This week we farewell the last days of summer as we welcome in Autumn.
I love Autumn! I love the colours, the warm days and cooler nights, but most of all I love the energy in the air as this side of the world starts to slow down with Mother Nature as she begins to shed and cleanse herself in preparation for winter.
With this slowing down of nature I’m also aware that for me it can be a time where I slow down and start to forgo my exercise and practice for the comfort and warmth of my bed or lounge. In my experience, it’s during this seasonal change that it’s most important to keep up with my practice as it’s my practice that helps keep my body healthy and active, my mind clear, my energy flowing, and my heart open as we head towards the cold winter months. So what I do is I set myself a target for the week. Along with my daily practice, I have a minimum amount of classes I attend and I make sure to walk every day in nature (weather permitting) to help me stay connected.
How will you support your well being as winter heads towards us?
I will be away this week at level two teacher training. I’m excited and a nervous as I haven’t done a module in a couple of years and although it can be quite confronting, the growth achieved from these immersions is phenomenal. As these modules are now open to include people who haven’t done the teacher training level one, I highly recommend the experience. Contact Enza at Soul Flow Yoga on 0414663484 if you are interested, as there’s still space available for this week.
Big thanks to the wonderful Anastasia who is covering my classes at Soul Flow Yoga whilst I’m away.
See you on the mat when I get back! ❤️
Love and light,
Adette
