Happy New Year!

“Best of the New Year and life as may be. Let the wind be behind you, angels dance with you, and your consciousness guide you to Victory.” Yogi Bhajan

Wasn’t 2016 a doozy!! I for one struggled through it like I was walking through a moat of quick sand sometimes with piranhas in it! ?. And just when I’d free myself to move forward something else would drag me back into that moat and I’d cop another nip! On top of my own stuff was the world gone mad with heartbreaking loss of life and injury through horrific war and terrorism, US political mayhem, intense planetary energy from supermoons, retrogrades, eclipses and the global mourning of legendary artists gone but never forgotten. In short 2016 was a difficult year for allot of people, but even through a year of struggles there was allot of good stuff too.  Personally, I achieved a fair bit to be grateful for. I opened It’s All Good Kundalini, I developed some amazing friendships, I travelled to new places in Australia and developed my passion for photography and I learned life lessons from my struggles and grew.

I read a great piece by Brene Brown that she called “The Magic in the Mess”. I love that title cause really, life is messy and can be hard but within all the chaos there is always some magic to be found. No matter how much we heal and work on ourselves life will throw those curveballs, so instead of waiting for life to be perfect (which it never is) we can look for the magic in the mess of it all. That magic comes from the lessons we learn, from gratitude for what we have, moments of joy and love, compassion for ourselves and those around us even if they’re the ones that have contributed to our current mess, love for all creation and the joy and gratitude for the gift of life even through the struggle.

In a period of approximately 24 hours the world will collectively close the door on 2016 and open a new door to 2017 and that global shift is magic and quite powerful energy for change.

In reality 1 Jan is just another day but symbolically it is a new beginning that brings a freshness to our lives. It’s when allot of us make resolutions, life changing decisions and set forth on our dream.  It heralds the opportunity for a new start.

So let’s be collectively grateful for the good stuff that came out of 2016, high five ourselves for getting through the crap and embrace this new beginning of 2017 together.

Wishing everyone a blessed new year full of exciting new beginnings, love, laughter, compassion, gratitude, joy and don’t forget some struggles too, cause without them we don’t learn or grow.

See you on the 2017 mat!

Love and light,
Adette ❤
